Cape May Calendar of Events and then Some

Catch of Cape May Logo

Cape May is running full tilt. Barry is at the Pilot House. Carl is at Cabanas. Blondage is at Harpoon Henry’s. It’s a typical Sunday.

As I take the dog for a walk past the Rusty Nail, the place is packed with two-legged and four-legged creatures, all enjoying the live entertainment.

Cape May is  reaching its event saturation. The Cape May calendar of events gets chock full of so many things to do this time of year. It’s fun when people arrive and ask what’s going on this week.

There is at least three active calendar of events in Cape May. Cape May dot com and the Chamber of Commerce websites have updated calendars. And the site operated by the City of Cape May have a decent calendar too.

There is no lack of social media presence with Exit Zero’s Facebook page and several group pages on Facebook providing detailed information.

What’s hot this week besides the weather?

Rubylee productions bring Broadway at the Beach to Convention Hall on Monday.

The Chamber and the City sponsor Movies on the Beach on Thursday night at 8:30. This week’s feature is Gremlins.

This week also brings a brand new event to Convention Hall. Cape May Summer Club. presents a swinging night of singing, dancing and fantastic fun on Saturday night.

The same Saturday night, there is a great fund-raising event: Catch of Cape May, for the Nature Center of Cape May at Saltwater Cafe of the South Jersey Marina.

All this, on top of great performances by both local and visiting musicians, at just about every venue in town. Then next Monday, the Grass Roots visit Convention Hall for a fine night of entertainment.

There’s so much to do here in Cape May it’s frustrating even for the locals.

Have a great week.
