Cape May City council was well represented, though careful not to convene quorum. Mr. Blue Skies, Mayor Chuck Lear, was actively capturing the mall event on film.

The tiniest of contestants participated in the fashion stroll. All age groups were involved. Prizes were donated by the mall merchants for each category.

Fans watched with surprise and delight as the contestants promenaded across the Mall.

Chuck Lear is the perfect mayor for Cape May. He’s friendly and outgoing and he represents the city well. It’s nice to have a mayor who doesn’t micromanage everyone and is always willing to stop and talk to people.

I think it is great. The kids seem to be enjoying the mall parade and the Egg Hunt was the icing on the cake for them. Also great to see Chuck Lear out there and enjoying the event. Cape May now has a great mayor.

You posted a photo of a dog on the Washington Mall on Easter. It was cute with its holiday outfit. However, there are signs at the mall that no dogs are allowed! You know this yet don’t seem bothered by people not following this rule because you’ve never seen poo left there! ( I read the comments following your photo ) I guess I just don’t understand what the point is in having any rules if they’re going to constantly be ignored. I own a condo in Cape May and care very much about maintaining the beauty of this town. I thought you would feel the same.

      Alice,
First thank you for reading the blog post and or following me on social media. I sincerely appreciate you. I believe my Instagram post simply asked a question, rather than express my opinion.
I too own an eight year old Golden Retriever named Joy. I honor the signs and choose not to walk her on the mall ( at least not after sunrise). That said, if the governing leaders rescinded the ordinance of prohibiting dogs on the mall then so be it. At this point I am just gathering opinions and I value yours. Thanks JC
