First Cape May Snowfall in 2024

The first Cape May snowfall in 2024 is on the ground. It didn’t amount to much. Just an inch or two, depending on how far north or inland you might be. Stan Sperlak’s Gallery and Sculpture Garden in the great white north of Goshen reports five inches.

If you know where to look when only a little snow falls, it can still be quite pretty. We spun through Cape May to see some of the usual pretty locations in the snow.

Bed and Breakfasts along Columbia Ave. are always lovely.

It’s an east-end home with a lot of balusters. I wouldn’t want to paint them.

Washington Street Mall around 4:30-5:00 PM

King’s Ice Cream recently opened at the site of the former Irish Shop.

With temps hovering in the mid-thirties Friday, getting around was a little easier. The first Cape May snowfall in 2024 is not expected to melt quickly. Saturday temperatures are not getting out of the twenties. All photos are unedited except for size; the sky was as grey as it looks.  Warm thoughts.

Great work, John ! You always make it interesting. Thanks for including some of the properties that I do the landscape & seasonal decor for Peter Shields, King’s Ice Cream and you got some photos of the beds we do at the mall. I had 6″ of snow up my way in Cumberland County & 3″ snow earlier this past week.
