The Chamber of Commerce of Greater Cape May is proud to announce that Cape May has been picked as a Top 10 Family Fun regional destination winner for 2015.
Family Fun magazine, part of Meredith Corporation’s Parents Network of brands announced its 2015 winners in various categories in the magazine’s April issue. The winning locations represent the best family friendly vacation spots in the U.S. The magazine’s April issue features the full list of winners along with the Top 10 overall winners that received the highest scores across all categories.
So it should come as no surprise, Cape May is a winner in their 3rd Annual Travel Awards. “We were very happy when we received the call about being in the Top 10.” Ronald Goldstein, Chamber President remarked, we take pride in the Chamber’s promotion of Cape May. Goldstein goes on to say “being picked a winner by the visitors places a spotlight on the whole Cape May community.”
“The Travel Awards are such a unique program because we rely on real families to vote on their favorite destinations—from awe-inspiring science museums to charming American towns with rich history and culture,” said Ann Hallock, Editor-in-chief of Family Fun magazine. “The winners in each category represent places where families have formed lasting memories, and offer adventures for all types of interests.
Family Fun surveyed families traveling with kids ages 3 to 12. Two thousand respondents in four regions – West, Midwest, South, and Northeast – were asked to rate more than 460 vacation spots in the five categories. The full list can be seen in print in the April issue or viewed on the magazine’s website.
Awards and accolades are not uncommon to Cape May and the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Cape May. In recent years, Cape May has been named in the top beaches of the United States by TripAdvisor, the most heavily visited travel website in the world. Cape May, through the Chamber’s efforts was involved in the Prettiest Painted Places award. Most recently, CNN named Cape May as a top destination for beach vacations in the United States.
Through the collaborative efforts of individual business marketing and the destination marketing efforts of the Chamber of Commerce and organizations like the Mid Atlantic Center for Arts and Humanities, Cape May is placed high in the global market place.
