How do you say perfect morning in Cape May? How do you describe the perfect morning in Cape May?
The sun is not rising till well after 6:30 AM now. Anyone with half a cup of coffee can make it out to Poverty Beach, one of the premier viewing locations.
Ordinances be damned, we (Joy and I) did the same thing this morning
It starts like this:
Clear sky, stars and the lights from a working dredge in Cold Spring Inlet greet you on the firm sand.
“Aye-aye, Master Chief” is the only voice you hear, echoing across the dunes from a company of Coast Guard recruits. Poverty Beach borders the only Training Center for Coast Guard enlisted personnel. The cadence always sounds invigorating and enthusiastic.
September sunrises and sunsets have a special quality to them. The return of Skimmers and other shorebirds migrating along the coast create a most serene environment
With a little luck the perfect morning in Cape May ends with an impromptu photo session with one of the last remaining lifeboats of the season. It’s not easy getting a happy Golden Retriever to cooperate on an open beach.
A perfect description for the perfect place. Thanks John.
