C-View’s American Flag Rescued By Cape May Fire Department

Last week when the wind was blowing constantly for several days with gusts up to 35 knots, the C-View’s American Flag took a real beating!

A veteran advised me once that when “OLD GLORY” is in a “Flag in Distress” mode, Fire departments are willing to assist in bringing Old Glory to where it hangs atop all flag poles and all flags in our country.

I called our Fire Chief in Cape May, Alex Coulter, and suggested our American Flag was indeed in a “Flag in Distress” mode, torn, tattered, and crippled during the storm.

We could not lower our flag due to torn red and white stripes wrapped around the flagpole.

Our Fire Chief immediately volunteered to come to the aid of the C-View American Flag– with a ladder truck and remove our Distressed Flag so we could raise “Old Glory” to its’ natural habitat!

I send this email to John Cooke’s site to openly Salute and Thank the Cape May Fire Department for its absolute respect and honor for “Old Glory” and what it stands for to every true American in our great country!

Thank you

God Bless America and the CMFD!!!
