Cape May Throws a Party

Cape May knows how to throw a party. The Washington Street Mall businesses know how to show hospitality. Hospitality Nights in Cape May are a wonderful give-back by area merchants, particularly on the Mall.

Friday night on the Washington Street Mall was buzzing with maybe 1500 to 2000 people. Up somewhat from the windier and chillier Thursday night edition of the two night event.

Some were not so impressed to sit on Santa’s Lap.

The ladies from Ocean County were delighted to sit on Santa’s lap. At first I was hesitant to shoot the picture of the “red solo cup” group. They thought I was another lifestyle photographer from Cape May (the famous one). They said: “you didn’t put us in the paper last year.”

Well if you’re a local innkeeper that housed this group, let them know they’re on the front page of this week’s Cape May Star and Wave.

No one is exempt from being in “awe” of the season on Hospitality night outside Tisha’s. Mall merchants and those not on the mall, know how to show Cape May visitors a good time. Feel free to comment in the section below and tell us about your favorite shop, or what you would like to see more of on the blog.
