The Mermaid Guild, an association of women owned businesses, is in their 8th year as an organization. They have helped many local charities and local people with their fundraising work. It is proof that when working together you can achieve much more than when alone.
You can help The Mermaid Guild of Cape May raise money for local scholarships in their Online Art Auction… happening now through October 30! You can also help by sharing their Facebook page on to your status to increase awareness.
All proceeds from the Auction will go to a new Scholarship Fund to benefit female Lower Cape May Regional High School Seniors. You can browse the entire auction catalog here.
The Mermaid Guild will award scholarships to four students who have demonstrated outstanding ambition and self-drive as evidenced by achievement in school, community, or workplace activity.
Since the Mermaid Guild is a group of women business owners, they thought this was the perfect fit for their fundraising program. I agree.
It’s nice to see business owners cooperating together for the good of the community. The show will be at SOMA NewArt Gallery October 22-30. An Artist Reception takes place on Friday, October 30 from 5-8pm with live bidding on any unsold pieces from 6-8pm.
